Warren Daniels, Executive Director, Community Recovery Resources
Nominated by: William Locker, Director, CoRR
Warren Daniels has been the Executive Director of CoRR for the past five years. CoRR is located in Grass Valley and serves Nevada, Placer and Sierra Counties. CoRR has taken on a significant leadership role in our rural county by starting a residential program for women with children. Hope House has been an extremely successful addition to CoRR's outpatient services for people with chemical dependency and mental health issues. It currently serve 40 women and 24 children per year. Currently 60% of women entering Hope House will graduate, with 70% of those graduating entering long-term recovery. We project that with the proposed campus setting 85% will graduate, and 90% will have long-term success.
Warren's dedication to women with chemical dependency does not end there. He also took over the Mothers in Recovery Program that was operated by Nevada County Behavioral Health for years. MIR is a three-day-a-week outpatient program for mothers with young children. The program offers many ancillary supports to the clients like life skills, interviewing, parenting, banking classes just to mention a few.
Warren is committed to having an organization that serves with a holistic approach making certain to treat each client completely so that success is more achievable. Warren is also interested in taking this approach to the next level. He has a vision for a one stop place to treat people with chemical dependency and mental health issues. The one stop would allow a person to be treated for up to one year. This is significant in that research has shown that a year in treatment with the appropriate complementary programs results in better outcomes. Warren has examined the barriers to success for our clients and taken all steps to eliminate those barriers.
Warren also serves on the Board of CAADAC, ICRC and the California ADP Directors Advisory Committee.
