Executive Director
Ms. Rose currently serves as the Executive Director of the California State Rural Health Association (CSRHA). Ms. Rose began her journey with CSRHA in 2003 as the Policy and Research intern, where she drafted the organization’s influential policy brief, An Appropriate Definition of Rural California, which was used as the supporting document for CSRHA’s two-year advocacy effort challenging the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy’s RUCA methodology for classifying rural areas. Ms. Rose was hired full-time as CSRHA’s Development Manager in the fall of 2004. In this capacity, Ms. Rose has contributed her research and writing expertise in the areas of foundation, corporate and government grant writing, policy briefs and position papers, and membership correspondence. Ms. Rose is responsible for grant and fundraising efforts totaling over $1,000,000 for CSRHA. In addition, Ms. Rose has been responsible for the publication and dissemination of CSRHA’s quarterly electronic newsletter, The Rural Health Advocate, and weekly electronic member updates and Advocacy Alerts. In March 2008 Ms. Rose was appointed as CSRHA Executive Director. She received a Bachelors of Arts in English and a minor in Social and Ethnic Relations from the University of California, Davis.
