Jami Young serves as the Assistant Administrator to Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District.  She is charged with the care of the hospital’s Ancillary Departments and implementation of new service lines for the district.  Jami also is the Project Coordinator for grant projects awarded to Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for Health Information Technology Planning and Implementation grants and from the California Rural Health Information Organization (CalRHIO).  She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the projects, project management and implementation of health information technology products within the community, and serves as the liaison between the private provider offices, HIT vendors, and the district. 

Jami received her Master’s in Public Administration with a certificate in Healthcare Services from the University of Southern California.  She is currently involved with East Kern County Integrated Technology Association and holds the position of Secretary; participates in the California State Rural Health Association and is an elected member serving on its Advocacy Committee; and has memberships with the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Academy of Medical Administrators.
