Lee Barron is currently in her fifth year of her position with Southern Inyo Healthcare District (SIHD) as their CEO and CFO. SIHD is located in a frontier area of CA along the eastern sierra in Lone Pine at the base of Mt Whitney. This area offers many challenges not only geographically but economically too, as much of our economic base is fully dependent on traffic along HWY 395 and the tourism trade. Over the past four years SIHD has gone from a bankrupt district to an economically viable entity, we have expanded our service capability, invested in new and updated technology, and are strategically planning our future. Current activities include expansion of our telehealth network, opening our geriatric assessment psychiatric in‐patient/out‐patient program, and incorporating our pain management/wellness program with an expansion of our rural health clinic.

Her college educational journey began over 25 years ago when she received her AA degree from Pasadena City College. She came back to school several years ago and received her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and then her MBA two years later. She is currently in my 4th year as a Clinical Psychology Doctoral student with Walden University. Her career life in‐between has been diverse covering several different industries but has remained focused in management now for well over 32 years, concentrating in the healthcare field for 10 years.

On a personal note she have been married to her husband for over 27 years now. They have embraced their rural lifestyle through their enjoyment of fly fishing, hiking, riding our quads, and long walks with their jack russell terrorist Jake. They became proud Grandparents in October of 2007 with the birth of their first grandchild, a girl Kylee Lynne, who is definitely her greatest accomplishment!
