Omar Sahak
Communications Coordinator

Omar Sahak received his B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has completed public health internships in the fields of rural health, nutrition and physical activity, and youth cancer services. He brings to CSRHA his interest and expertise in communications and public relations in the non-profit realm. Omar is dedicated to enhancing health and wellness in California’s rural communities, and is committed to preserving the mission and vision of the California State Rural Health Association. As the Communications Coordinator, Omar will be responsible for internal and external communications, as well as ensuring effective intercommunication amongst CSRHA’s constituency. Omar is also part of the 2008 cohort of the San Jose State Masters in Public Health Distance Education Program, with a curriculum that focuses on community health education. He will receive his MPH in August of 2010.
