Sheilamarie Racicot, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, resides in Poway, California with her husband Dr. William Racicot. She has worked in the field of Behavioral Healthcare for over 18 years. Ms. Racicot graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in Sociology and has her M.A. in Clinical Psychology.

As a therapist she has experience running a private practice and has also worked for agencies throughout San Diego County.  Currently Ms. Racicot is focusing on developing her clinical practice in conjunction with her services as a consultant. She has served on numerous boards and committees and has spoken at both state wide and national conferences.

She served as the Director of the Human Services Department at Indian Health Council, Inc. for over 10 years. As Human Services Director she was responsible for clinical programs and the development, oversight and fiscal implementation of various grant-funded programs and research projects. Programs included psychiatry, individual and group counseling, domestic violence and sexual assault services, chemical dependency treatment, clinical prevention services, health outreach programs, and traditional healing activities. In 2006, she served as the Principal Investigator for a research project funded through the National Institute for Health which focused on the Prevention of Underage Drinking by Southwest California Indians. 

Ms. Racicot serves on the Board of Directors for the California State Association for Rural Health Care and is presently chairing their Statewide Conference.
