Who
is CSRHA?
The
California State
Rural Health Association (CSRHA) is a not-for profit,
nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to preserving and
enhancing health in rural California. CSRHA brings together health
care providers, consumers, educators, researchers, public health
and economic development agencies and others to advocate for the
health of rural California.

How
is CSRHA structure?
The California State Rural Health Association is a statewide 501
(c3) not-for-profit corporation governed by a 15-member board
of directors elected by the full membership to provide overall
strategic direction, and to ensure its mission is fulfilled. The
Board of Directors is supported by an executive director who carries
out the strategic direction and manages the day to day activities

A nominating committee meets each year in March to determine the
process for electing of its members. Elections take place in June
and board members are seated on July 1 of each year. Officers
of the board are elected by the full Board of Directors. To review

When
and why was CSRHA formed?
CSRHA was formed in 1997 by rural health activists to provide
a voice and forum for the rural health community at the state
level, to be a focal point for information sharing, and a resource
assistance center for rural health providers and organizations
in California.

On
a variety of levels, individuals, consumers of healthcare, non
