Brief examines the status of broadband technology in rural California, makes recommendations. SACRAMENTO, California – February 27, 2008– The California State Rural Health Association (CSRHA), in partnership with the California Center for Regional Leadership (CCRL), has recently released a policy brief on broadband technology. Titled Closing the Digital Divide: Leveraging Broadband Opportunities to Meet California’s Rural Technology Needs this policy brief outlines the development of broadband in rural California, underscores the necessity of the implementation of such technology, reviews initiatives currently working toward ubiquitous broadband, and offers recommendations to continue the progress that has already been made.
