CSRHA Publishes Broadband Policy Brief
Brief examines the status of broadband technology in rural California, makes recommendations.
SACRAMENTO, California – February 27, 2008– The California State Rural Health Association (CSRHA), in partnership with the California Center for Regional Leadership (CCRL), has recently released a policy brief on broadband technology. Titled Closing the Digital Divide: Leveraging Broadband Opportunities to Meet California’s Rural Technology Needs this policy brief outlines the development of broadband in rural California, underscores the necessity of the implementation of such technology, reviews initiatives currently working toward ubiquitous broadband, and offers recommendations to continue the progress that has already been made. This policy brief complements the release of the Broadband Task Force’s highly- anticipated report The State of Connectivity: Building Innovation through Broadband, which extensively details the availability and adoption of broadband throughout California, in both rural and urban areas.
