County Medical Services Program (CMSP) Local Health Connections Pilot Project Request for Proposals

The County Medical Services Program (CMSP) Governing Board is pleased to announce the release of the CMSP Local Health Connections Pilot Project Request for Proposals (RFP). The Governing Board seeks to test the effectiveness of providing local-level services and support to designated CMSP enrollees and likely CMSP enrollees that have complex medical and/or social conditions. The goal of the project is to promote timely delivery of necessary medical and support services to the target population, improve health outcomes for the target population, link the target population to other resources and support, and improve the overall cost-effectiveness of expenditures made on behalf of the target population in comparison with expenditures made on similar CMSP enrollees that do not participate in the pilot project.

Promise of Nursing (PON) Regional Faculty Felowship Program

Registered nurses enrolled in graduate level, degree-granting colleges and universities in selected regions of the US may be eligible to apply for a Promise of Nursing Regional Faculty Fellowship (PON Fellowship). The PON Fellowship is designed to assist RN’s who are preparing for the nurse educator role to achieve their degrees.

HELP II Financing Program

The HELP II Financing Program provides three percent, fixed interest loans of up to $750,000 to California's non-profit small and rural health facilities in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner. HELP II loans may be used to purchase or construct new facilities, remodel or renovate existing facilities, and purchase equipment or furnishings. Since the program's inception in 1988, the Authority has loaned more than $45 million to small and rural health facilities.

Wells Fargo California Grant Program

Wells Fargo gives first priority to requests where the primary purpose of the grant is to benefit people and communities of low and moderate income.
Wells Fargo considers support of social and human service organizations whose work primarily serves low- and moderate-income populations in the areas of child care, health services and education, assistance with basic needs. Wells Fargo also provides grants to organizations that help people and communities of low and moderate income in the areas of affordable housing, training people to find and retain jobs, and community revitalization and stabilization as well as support for educational programs promoting academic achievement by low- to moderate-income students in pre-Kindergarten through the twelfth grade.

William Randolph Hearst Foundations

The Hearst Foundations assist leading regional hospitals, medical centers and specialized medical institutions, such as children's and women's hospitals. The Foundations fund direct medical services that promote wellness, prevention and rehabilitation. Areas of interest include cancer, geriatrics, neonatology, perinatology, pediatrics, women's health, and the disabled. Support for advanced professional education and training is also considered in these fields. In response to the ongoing nursing shortage, the Foundations also fund nursing programs designed to enhance skills and increase the number of practitioners and educators in this field.

RGK Foundation

The Foundation's current interests in the area of Medicine/Health include programs that promote the health and well-being of children, programs that promote access to health services, and Foundation-initiated programs focusing on ALS.
