The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (Office) has received a grant from The California Wellness Foundation to establish and convene the Healthcare Workforce Diversity Advisory Council (Council).  The Council will be charged with developing and recommending policy solutions to address California’s health professional shortages especially among underrepresented populations in the health professions. Under the grant, the Council is established and will serve as advisors to the Director of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development.

In an effort to gather public input to aid the Council with recommendations regarding the formation of policy solutions that will address California health professional shortages, hearings will be held in Oakland, Burbank, and Fresno, California.  To RSVP for any of the three hearings, please send an email to HWDArsvp@oshpd.ca.gov or call (916) 653-0733.
