A Call for Nominations: Advocacy Committee

The California State Rural Health Association (CSRHA) is pleased to announce it is soliciting nominations for members of the Advocacy Committee (AC) for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2008.

If you would like to put forward your own name, or if you would like to nominate a person to the AC, please read the information below. Only dues-paying members in good standing can nominate candidates to the AC. To determine if you are in good standing, please contact the CSRHA office at 916-453-0780 or email drose@csrha.org.

Qualifications

All AC members shall meet the following qualifications:

(a) AC members shall be at least eighteen (18) years old;

(b) AC members shall, within sixty (60) days of election, acknowledge their acceptance of the position as a member either in writing or by attendance at a meeting of the Board;

(c) Only dues-paying members may sit on the AC.

Term

The term of office for members of the AC shall be for two (2) years and until a successor has been designated and qualified. The terms shall begin and expire at the annual meeting of the membership.

Selection Process

The Nominating Committee will review the list of AC candidates and prepare a slate for elections on May 25, 2006. All candidates in good standing and meeting the qualifications will be presented on the slate.
The AC will select members from the CSRHA membership to be seated on the AC for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2006.
The Board of Directors will board members to be seated on the AC for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2006.

Step 1: Read the information above to determine if you qualify to be an AC member;

Step 2: Complete the potential candidate application. All sections must be completed;

Step 3: Email the completed application and attach a biography to CSRHA by May 25, 2006.
