The Nominating Committee encourages members to review the slate of nominees for the California State Rural Health Association’s (CSRHA) Board of Directors, for the term 2006-2009.

To better serve our membership and to seek participation from everyone, the committee has prepared a slate of candidates for election in electronic mail format.

We must receive your electronic ballot by June 13, 2006
. The announcement of board members will be publicized at the CSRHA Annual Business Meeting, June 15, 2006 in Trinidad, CA.

VALUE OF CSRHA
Board Membership shall reflect the ethnic and geographic diversity of rural California

BYLAWS
The bylaws states that board composition represent “…the geographic, constituent, ethnic, racial and gender diversity of rural California.” (Section 6.3.)

Constituency groups are defined as organizations that “…represent the demographic, geographic and interest diversity in California. Constituency groups may include, but are not limited to hospital services, outpatient services, state government and associations, frontier, rural health care providers, community-based organizations, consumers, community development entities, economic/workforce development agencies, education/research institutions, local/county governments, and members at large." (Section 5.1.)

The Nominating Committee encourages candidates be selected to the Board with consideration of the geographic, ethnic and constituency diversity that is reflective of rural California.

CSRHA's bylaws ensure that regional representation is obtained through the election process.

  • Five positions are open for the CSRHA Board of Directors.
  • One (1) Southern California regional seat will be filled during this election.
  • The geographic, ethnic and constituency diversity of the Board of Directors is listed below.
