A Call for Nominations: Advocacy Committee

The California State Rural Health Association (CSRHA) is pleased to announce it is soliciting nominations for members of the Advocacy Committee (AC) for a two-year term beginning June 15, 2007 through June 15, 2009.

If you would like to put forward your own name, or if you would like to nominate a person to the AC, please read the information below. Only dues-paying members in good standing can nominate candidates to the AC. Qualifications

All AC members shall meet the following qualifications:
(a) AC members shall be at least eighteen (18) years old;
(b) AC members shall, within ten (10) days of election, acknowledge their acceptance of the position as a member either in writing or by attendance at a meeting of the Board;
(c) Only dues-paying members may sit on the AC.

Term

The term of office for members of the AC shall be for two (2) years and until a successor has been designated and qualified. The terms shall begin and expire at the annual meeting of the membership.

Selection Process

  • The Nominating Committee will review the list of AC candidates and prepare a slate for elections on May 29, 2007. All candidates in good standing and meeting the qualifications will be presented on the slate.
  • The AC will elect members from the CSRHA membership slate to be seated on the AC for a two-year term beginning June 15, 2007.
  • The Board of Directors will select board members to be seated on the AC for a two-year term beginning June 15, 2007.

Nomination Process

Step 1: Read the information above to determine if you qualify to be an AC member;
Step 2: Complete the potential candidate application. All sections must be completed;
Step 3: Email the completed application and attach a biography to CSRHA by May 11, 2007.
